Picante Hot Bar is located in the heart of downtown Cancun. It is the premier gay bar in Cancun. Estabished in 1989, it was the first gay bar here and has endured while others have come and gone. Picante Hot Bar is open from 9:00 PM until 5:00 AM each and every day. We never take a day off. We invite you to come and enjoy the friendly down-home atmosphere, great music, and eager to please natives. We feature drag shows and strip tease entertainment, by some of the best entertainers in all of Mexico, Wednesday to Saturday. We also offer two for one beer specials everyday except Saturday. On Wednesday all domestic liqours are two for one and Thursday is 'Tequila Night' when we give tequila shots for free.

In Mexico, we celebrate a variety of holidays and special events. Cancun and Picante 
Hot Bar are no exceptions. At Picante Hot Bar celebrations are always elaborate with costumes and performances unsurpassed anywhere in Cancun. The following is a list of holidays and events observed by Picante Hot Bar:

Oh The Way We Celebrate!
A few of our celebrations are described below. We hope you'll join us sometimes:
- The Picante Hot Bar year starts out with a smashing New Year's Eve celebration featuring entertainment at it best and plenty of booze to boot. The bar is jam packed early as the revelers say goodbye to the old and welcome in the new with champagne and plenty of celebratory din. Come and join us each New Year's Eve for a celebration you'll never forget..
- Saint Valentine's day is an occassion to remember. The bar is adorned with amorous symbols as love sweetens the air. All the lovers come out at least on this evening even if at no other time. And, the unescorted seldom leave alone.
- Carnaval is celebrated in many cities around the world. Most major cities of Mexico celebrate Carnaval. Some of the most famous Carnaval celebrations are Rio de Janeiro's Carnaval, New Orleans' Mardi Gras, and the Carnaval celebration of Veracruz Mexico. Carnival begins approximately nine days before Ash Wednesday with a grand parade. Picante's float is always a most dazzling display. Later we officially kick off Picante Hot Bar's Carnaval celebration with the coronation of the Carnaval King and Queen followed by fabulous shows, hot music and lots and lots of great fun.
